The UK’s first zero-waste theatre venue, The Greenhouse Theatre, will be welcoming visitors to Thames Barrier Park for a pop-up residency hosting Sea Change commissions, talks and workshops, activity packs, and a picnic area with snacks and a bar.

Join students from local school Britannia Village Primary School and the London Sea Shanty Collective on the banks of the Thames at the new Greenhouse Theatre in Thames Barrier Park on Saturday 27 May 3-4pm.

The Greenhouse Theatre Festival for Young People
A free one-day festival curated in collaboration with local young people, for young people. Featuring zero-waste music, creative workshops, activities, dance, games and more!

Upcycled Craft & Toy Swap
Join The Greenhouse Theatre for a free sustainable crafting session and learn to craft with items you can find in your recycling bin!
You will be provided with everything that you need for the crafts, you only need to bring your imaginations and curiosity.
THURSDAY 1st June
Us.Man.Dere Takeover
Join The Greenhouse Theatre for a screening room takeover by the Newham filmmakers collective Us.Man.Dere (UMD). The night includes content by young up-and-coming local content creators and visual artists, all curated by UMD

Us.Man.Dere Takeover (Part 2)
Us.Man.Dere (UMD) – the Newham-based young filmmakers’ group – take over the screening room once more to screen UMD content together with a creative poster-making session and a community get together over fresh cooked food.
Improvised Comedy with UEL
Drama students from the University of East London (UEL) will improvise their way through ridiculous comic circumstances in a ‘sink or swim’ performance led by professional improv coach and comedian, Carl Batchelor.
The Greenhouse Theatre Ceilidh
Put on your dancing shoes or get barefoot, as you prefer, for an unplugged dance party with live music to the classic folk tunes.
