At the Docks

UEL Summer Festival

The University of East London is hosting its Royal Docks Innovation & Enterprise Summer Festival at its Docklands campus.

Set against the Royal Docks, this free, large-scale festival brings together performance, innovation and hands-on experiences – offering a vibrant day out for families, students and the local community.

What to do

  • A spectacular aerial piano performance above the Docklands waterfront
  • Interactive exhibits and innovation showcases from across UEL
  • Family-friendly workshops and hands-on creative activities
  • UCAS Fair and Stratford Redevelopment Exhibition
  • International Conference on AI and Sustainability Advances
  • Live music, entertainment and street food throughout the day
  • Wellbeing and Year of Health themed experiences and activations

Join Art in the Docks for some hands-on 'Make & Take' activities (£5) exploring creativity through making, scent, textiles and natural materials. Activities include aromatherapy blending, bath salts, cosmetics & perfume making, flower wreath making and macramé.

You can also enjoy street food, music and outdoor spaces across the campus.

The festival is part of UEL’s Year of Health, celebrating wellbeing, creativity and community through a mix of culture, innovation and participation.

The event is free to attend, with some optional activities (£3 - £5) supporting student and community sports facilities.
