It Belongs to Us (Docklands)

It Belongs to Us is a creative, hands-on workshop, inviting residents to reimagine their streets and public spaces. Participants can respond to the question:

‘If this place truly belonged to us, what would we change?’.

Using recycled materials such as cardboard, paper, and packaging, individuals and small groups will build parks, buildings, bridges, and civic spaces. These will be assembled into a shared model of a reimagined neighbourhood.

Open to children, families, and older residents, the workshop encourages intergenerational dialogue, combining youthful imagination with lived experience to explore community identity, collective ownership, and the future of local places.

The session is facilitated by Art in the Docks
