Newham Black History Month

Events

Newham Black History Month

To mark Black History Month, Newham Council has curated a programme of events responding to the theme of Strength, Courage, Determination.

Explore a month of virtual and live events that explore the adversity that Black people have faced and how their strength, courage and determination has shaped society throughout history.

You can view the full programme here, which includes a series of monologues by young east London artists responding to Theatre Royal Stratford East’s audio play, 8:46 which the Royal Docks team co-produced as part of Greenwich + Docklands International Festival.
