Open Call: Royal Docks Originals 27: Partners Group, Advisory Group and Selection Panel

Royal Docks Originals is rooted in co-creation with local creatives, organisations and residents. The festival provides platforms, skills development opportunities and new commissions that strengthen the local cultural ecosystem and celebrate the identity of the Royal Docks.

As we work towards Royal Docks Originals 2027, the festival will continue to place the voices of local artists and the community at the heart of its planning processes.

We are excited to announce three different opportunities for local stakeholders to get involved in the planning and development of the festival.

These are:

• RDO Partners Group
• RDO Advisory Group
• Selection Panel for the RDO Advisory Group

• RDO Partners Group

The RDO Partners Group individuals and organisations across the Royal Docks to inform and support the planning for the biennial Royal Docks Originals festival. Members will be invited to participate in 2 meetings per year. Please note that anyone interested able to join and there is no formal selection process.

• RDO Advisory Group

A focused working group comprised of up to 9 members from the RDO Partners group who work closely with the RD team to advise and feedback on the planning of RDO 27.

Members of the Advisory group would be compensated for their time at the London Living Wage, plus travel and members will be invited to take part in 4 meetings per year.

Applications will be assessed by a selection panel made up from individuals in the Royal Docks Creative Network (a network of local artists and makers in the Royal Docks) and Creative Connectors (a group comprised of local residents). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to join a conversation with the Royal Docks Team.

• Selection Panel for the RDO Advisory Group

The selection panel will appoint the individuals on the RDO Advisory Group. The panel will be comprised of 2 individuals from the Creative Network and 2 individuals from Creative Connectors. Successful applicants will be involved in a shortlisting process and may be asked to join conversations with shortlisted candidates.
