Crochet Club

Stitch, chat, and share ideas at Crafted Corner

Book to attend Crochet Club or Stitch Club for cross stitch and embroidery projects These relaxed sessions at Crafted Corner in Canning Town aren’t taught classes, but the regulars are more than happy to offer guidance if you’re just getting started. Bring your own materials (or buy a starter pack for £5) and work at your own pace.

Enjoy fitness at your own pace

If you’re looking for a lower-intensity workout, why not try Zumba Gold? It offers the same fun music and dance moves as regular Zumba, but at a gentler pace. It’s a great way to stay active, improve your fitness, and make new friends.

UEL After Dark Festival 2026

UEL After Dark returns this winter with an electrifying evening of light, fire, circus and large-scale installations inspired by the four elements: Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Free and open to everyone, the festival features illuminated giants, awe-inspiring aerial theatre, fire performances and hands-on experiences for all ages, alongside local street food available throughout the evening. Book your place and join us for a winter night of creativity, connection and celebration at the University of East London Docklands Campus.

Get Creative with Art in the Docks

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an accomplished artist, the free Creative Health & Wellbeing sessions offer a space for adults to practice new techniques with artist, John Lord. For the younger ones, Saturday Kids Club provides free, artist-led workshops every week to spark imagination and confidence.

Take part in parkrun

Beckton parkrun takes place at Beckton District Park South every Saturday at 9am. It’s not a race, you’re welcome to jog, run or walk the 5km free event. You could also volunteer to help or simply come along and watch. Advance registration required.
