Culture Within Newham – Open Calls

The open calls are for community organisations and groups to propose projects that they would like Culture Within Newham to commission. There are two offers available:

The ‘Summer of Wellbeing’ commission is a call out for creative projects that relate to the theme of ‘wellbeing’ (in its broadest sense), who will deliver a series of creative engagement events throughout this summer.

Culture Within Newham are targeting grassroots community organisations/groups, and are commissioning three projects of up to £5,000 each.

Projects are selected by the Community Voices Panel together with a group of wellbeing champions from the community.

The ‘Shaped by Community’ commission is a call out for creative projects that can be on any theme, as long as they show the project responds to a need or desire stemming from community groups or residents, and that these groups have agency in the development and shaping of the project throughout its delivery.

For this, Culture Within Newham are targeting both community groups as well as more established organisations, as long as they work alongside community members.

Culture Within Newham are commissioning six of these projects of up to £15,000 each. These projects are selected by the Community Voices panel.
