Tipping Point East Site Tour

As part of Open House Festival, step inside Tipping Point East, Newham's first circular economy construction hub, and discover how materials are reclaimed, reused and repurposed.

Home to founding partners Yes Make, Material Cultures and RESOLVE Collective's Material Store, the site is an ongoing experiment in building differently.

This free guided tour offers direct access to a live working site, including material storage and processing areas, workshops, training spaces and demonstration projects. Visitors will learn about bio-based and circular construction practices, material reuse processes and how sustainability influences design decisions.

The tour includes an introduction to Tipping Point East, insights from its founding organisations, a walk through the Material Store, Material Yard and Material Library, and time for questions. You'll also gain an understanding of how the site is governed and funded, how materials move from reclamation to reuse, and what material justice looks like in practice.

Tours last up to 90 minutes and are free to attend as part of Open House 2026.
