The Winter Get Together

Royal Docks Dock Local Panel presents the Winter Get Together at Social Convention in Canning Town.

There’s something for everyone plus delicious drinks and food available from Social Convention and Bubbles & Beans.

In the family-friendly afternoon (3pm to 9pm), why not get crafty in a festive workshop with local artist Momtaz Begum-Hossain? You can also step inside the One Christmas Wish caravan to listen to a festive audio adventure and then enjoy tales about wintery characters, Glisten & Glow, from storyteller Oliver Wallace. There’ll be music from Newham Super Choir and a local steelpan band, and you might even spot a glow juggler!

As if this wasn’t enough, later in the day later in the day (from 7pm), come along to enjoy DJ Big Hen playing all your favourite tunes until late! It’s sure to get you dancing and in the festive mood!

The Winter Get Together is programmed by the Royal Docks Team’s Dock Local Panel, a group of 8 local Royal Docks residents who have an annual budget to programme with. This is their first event, so join them to celebrate with some wintery fun to kick off the festive season!
