The London Model Talk
Join NLA for a free lunchtime talk every Friday at The London Centre to learn about London’s historical and physical development, brought to life through a giant model of central London, the City of London model, the Royal Docks model, and accompanying exhibitions.
On display until March 2025, the Royal Docks Model provides an overview of the exciting developments across the area over the next 10 years. The 1:1000 scale fully 3D-printed model represents 10,000 buildings covering 19.2 km2, showing schemes with detailed planning consent as well as key and emerging landmarks within the area. It is displayed alongside NLA’s permanent 1:2000 scale New London Model and 1:500 scale City Model.
The models are used by a range of built environment professionals involved in the shaping of London, and anyone interested in the past, present and future of London’s ever-changing development.
Accessibility: There are 4 steps to the main entrance, with a level access entrance via the Guildhall West Wing approximately 200 feet away. There are toilets and accessible toilets via stairs or a lift to the lower ground floor. If you would like more information, or have any access requirements, please let us know what these are and how we can best accommodate these by emailing events@nla.london.
