Spring Forward

It’s almost the end of a cold winter and we can’t help but look onward to Spring! Join us April 12th for our next community event as we celebrate the emergence of Spring and all the colour and life that it brings. We will be celebrating the world shaking itself back to life with a day full of activities. Expect workshops, a plant sale, performance, exhibitions, nature walk & loads more. This event will include the opening of our annual photography exhibition ‘Your River Lea and the unveiling of out new venue!

What to expect:

- Opening of our Annual ‘Your River Lea’ Photo Exhibition
- Forest School – Teaching little ones about nature through craft
- ‘Tails of Migration,’ a workshop led by the Youth and Education team
- Ethnobotany Nature Walk
- Bug Hunt (weather permitting) led by Cody Dock’s citizen science and biodiversity team
- ‘Cabinet of Curiosity No.1’ – An interactive installation about the history of the Thames Ironworks
- Free bike repair from The Tower Hamlets Wheelers
- Plant Sale from our Therapeutic Gardening team
- Opening of our new venue – The Barn
- Cody Dock Postcard Printing Workshop led by artist Remiiya Badru
- River Engagement Activities led by artist Lydia Thornley
