Sound Healing and Happiness
Sound is one of the oldest and most natural forms of relaxation and healing, and one which we often overlook or take for granted. Many of us instinctively feel better through listening to our favourite music or bird song. But sound can also be used in an intentional way to heal, relax, and renew you.
And being able to relax, let go, and recharge is something that we could all do with experiencing more of! So please join trained psychologist and gong player Sarah Waite of Seing for a soothing sound massage for the body and mind! She will carefully guide you through a unique experience documented and practised in ancient civilisations, tribes and clinics around the world.
All you’ll need to do is simply lie down, wrap yourself in a blanket, and ‘be’ as you’re cocooned in soothing sounds and vibrations for deep relaxation, meditation, healing and general wellbeing.
And give yourself the gift of this magical experience.
We look forward to welcoming you!
To make the most of the session
- Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a blanket to keep you warm - body temperatures drop in a deeply relaxed state.
- It is advisable not to have a heavy meal or alcohol beforehand.
- Please arrive early. Latecomers won’t be admitted to avoid disruption to those in relaxed states.
- Turn all phones and devices off, or on airplane mode.
As a precaution, this is not recommended for pregnant women in their 1st trimester or those with pacemakers. Please be aware that sound sensitive conditions e.g. Tinnitus, Ménière's Disease, and Epilepsy, and those with medical metal implants e.g. pins, rods, screws and plates, may be affected by the sounds and vibrations. Please inform the Museum of Happiness and/or the sound healing practitioner if you have any concerns or conditions they should be aware of.
Afterwards
- Take it easy. Be kind and gentle with yourself.
- Drink plenty of water for the next 24-48 hours, to stay hydrated and flush any toxins out of your system.
- If you have any questions after the session, contact Sarah directly.
