Shaping the future of Limmo Peninsula

Limmo Peninsula will be transformed from a long-vacant site in Canning Town into a new riverside neighbourhood shaped by community, connection, nature and play.

Ballymore and Places for London are in the early stages of developing proposals to reconnect this part of East London, stitching together Limmo, Canning Town and the River Lea for the first time in a generation.

They want local people to help shape these early ideas from the very start, ensuring the place reflects what communities need and want from Limmo.

Workshops will explore a range of themes across five sessions, which will all take place in Canning Town Library on the following dates:

  • Play - Thursday 28th May
  • New parks and green open spaces - Wednesday 3rd June
  • Ground floor uses (leisure and retail) - Wednesday 10th June
  • Meanwhile uses (temporary uses during construction) - Thursday 18th June
  • Sport - Thursday 25th June

All workshops are informal, interactive and open to people of all ages.

If you would like to attend any or all of the workshops, please email limmo@fieldconsulting.co.uk with the session(s) you’d like to join, alongside any accessibility requirements.
