Running Out of Time Relay 2023
Running Out of Time is Britain’s biggest climate relay, covering 1,653 miles across 50 towns and cities in one month.
Thousands of people will be running, walking, cycling, swimming, kayaking and more as they pass the baton from Ben Nevis to Big Ben between 10 June – 11 July, inspiring the nation to take collective action towards Net Zero.
The relay travels through 50 cities and towns – and some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside – visiting initiatives of every scale that confront the climate crisis and preserve, restore and protect our nature and wildlife.
It features historic landmarks, stunning natural sites, schools, universities, community projects, cutting edge technology and sporting venues plus a host of from paddling to paragliding and everything in between.
The Royal Docks will host two legs of the relay on its final day, as the baton is passed via dragon boat to City Hall before making its way on the Cable Car and continuing its journey onwards from Greenwich Peninsula ahead of its finale in front of Big Ben later that evening.
Running Out of Time celebrates bringing people together in the face of the climate crisis, and the relay baton – with its digital climate clock – symbolises the race against time.
Take part in this magical, inspirational, joyous and epic journey by signing up and showing your support for climate action and the natural world!
