Royal Docks Market – Originals Edition
Royal Docks Market will come alive with a vibrant celebration of local creativity and culture.
Where once the Royal Docks traded goods imported from abroad, it is now emerging as London’s Cultural Engine, a place that makes and trades creative industries.
At this special edition of the market, expect a buzzing atmosphere filled with street food, live music and entertainment.
On our festival stage outside the Good Hotel, nearby and around the IFS Cable Car and on the Corniche, featured events include:
- Blue Sky Making
10am - 4pm
The IFS Cloud Cable Car will be soaring to new creative eights through Blue Sky Making! Ride with a composer, a poet, or an artist to co- create instant pieces of art while riding high across the Thames. On the IFS Cloud Cable Car
- Photobooth of Futures
11am - 4pm
At the base of the IFS Cloud Cable car, The photobooth of Futures portrait installation is designed to spark imagination and local pride through creative visual storytelling. It invites residents and passersby to step into a pop up photo booth where they are photographed and then transformed using “future filters”, layered edits that blend archival imagery, futuristic motifs, and symbolic elements representing hopes for the community’s future. - Public Artwork Tours with The Line's Youth Guides
11am and 2:00pm
Taking about 30 minutes, the guides will introduce you, through their lens, to the artworks and their unique setting around Royal Victoria Dock. Includes art installations by Yinka Ilori, Laura Ford and Hélène Amouzou, plus a preview into new Royal Docks Originals installations. 11am - 3pm
Presented by Rain Crew: a vibrant dance event celebrating Hiphop culture featuring dance battles, performances, and music with a focus on bringing people together. A dance battle is a competitive dance event where dancers or crews compete against each other, showcasing their skills and creativity in a dynamic display. Outside the Good Hotel - Stratford East Singers
3.30 - 4pmThe Stratford East Singers are a dynamic community choir who have lit up stages across the UK. They’ve appeared on The X-Factor (ITV), The One Show (BBC One), and won third place in the original BBC Two series The Naked Choir. Led by their creative director Byron Gold, SES continue to push the boundaries of what “community singing” can mean. Open, inclusive, and rooted in community spirit. #StratfordEastSingers

- Zine Making workshop with artist Ioana Simion from 1 - 3pm
- Sound Hive: an interactive sound and light installation inspired by nature and encouraging users to think about Recycling and sustainability which was designed by Ricebox Studio in collaboration with primary school-aged children from Newham (Originally produced by Culture within Newham).
- For the Record: A sound-based installation featuring a selection of sounds, music and stories from around the docks, reflecting on memories of the past and hopes for Royal Docks’ future.
- Message in A Bottle: Browse messages for the future and add your own message in a bottle about your hopes and dreams for the future of the Royal Docks
- The Royal Docks: A People and Past in Pictures: An installation charting the maritime history and the heritage of the Royal Docks
In the Good Hotel
- Chila Burman’s Tuk Tuk
Chila Burman's dazzling Tuk Tuk sculpture in the reception area of the Good Hotel. Emblazoned on the full-size tuk-tuk vehicle are Chila’s renowned motifs: Hindu deities, glitter, bindis and tiger. Surrounding the Tuk Tuk will be a backdrop of Chila's Punjabi Rocker collage work.
