Royal Docks Innovation and Enterprise 125th Anniversary Summer Festival
The University of East London’s Royal Docks Innovation and Enterprise 125th Anniversary Summer Festival will take place on Wednesday 31 May 2023 and we are bigger than ever before. The University has approved this as a ‘bring your kid to work’ day, so bring your little ones along to join in the fun.
Taking place at our Docklands campus from 12-10pm, there is something for everyone including:
- Stalls and showcases held by our schools and services (12 - 5pm)
- Wellness area (12 - 5pm) - including sports massages and a quiet room
- Local partner Art in the Dock will be hosting art sessions for all ages (all day)
- Eco wax wrap making classes (all day)
- Cocktail/mocktail masterclasses (all day)
- Cake making classes (all day)
- Climbing wall (12 - 6pm)
- Contemporary dance class (4.15pm)
- Silent disco (from 5pm)
- Children's dance class (6pm)
- Funfair rides (all day)
- Face painting (1 - 9pm)
- Car racing games (all day)
- Interactive screen (12 - 6pm)
- Musical entertainment (all day)
- Food trucks (all day)
- Ice cream van (all day)
- Bar (all day)
What’s more, an immersive water show will take place at our stunning dockside waterfront at 9.30pm and is free to watch. The show will take you on UEL’s journey like you’ve never seen it before.
Registration is free and parents who register and come to our information point in the atrium, East Building, from 5pm will receive a £5 food voucher for the kids. There are 200 vouchers for grabs so don’t miss out on this.
All staff who register for our UEL Summer Festival will receive a free ice cream voucher from the information point between 12 - 1pm – look out for the van in the square!
