(Re)Love Your Shoes

(Re)Love Your Shoes

Everyone has at least one pair of shoes that sits unloved in the back of the closet. Led by footwear designer Hernan Guardamagna, learn how to rekindle the love you once had for them, restoring them to practical items that give you renewed pleasure and a useful purpose.

This family friendly event is likely to appeal to anyone with an interest in shoes, recycling, sustainability, the environment, and fashion.

Bring any shoes that you would like to customise. Give them a good clean so they are ready to work with when you arrive.

All materials will be provided. If you have any accessories or decorative materials that you would like to use, please bring them along. There will be some shoe-related activities for the little ones and for anyone who attends the workshop but without any shoes to customise.

This activity is supported by Notting Hill Genesis

(Re)Love your Shoes is part of the “What a load of rubbish!” exhibition - commissioned by the Royal Docks Team, it is one of eleven At the Docks’ Summer Commissions led by creative organisations, local artists and young people, that respond to the theme of sustainability.
