Introduction to Lino Painting with artist Joy Yamusangie
New year, new skill! Come and try your hand at lino printing, with artist Joy Yamusangie.
As part of their new mural for the Royal Docks, called The Fish And The Mermaid, Joy will teach people how to lino print.
In the workshop the group will look at some examples and learn the full method step-by-step altogether. Each person will be invited to use the lino-printing method to design their own bespoke ‘scales’ that will form part of The Mermaid’s tail in Joy’s overall mural design.
All materials will be provided.
The workshop is free, but please reserve a place by contacting Cat Harrison (she/her) at royaldocks@london.gov.uk.
The Fish and The Mermaid is a Royal Docks Open Art Commission for Royal Docks Originals 2025, co-produced by the Royal Docks Team and Hive Curates.
