Introduction to Kathak Dance
Kathak is a form of Indian classical dance rooted in ancient tradition. Indigenous to northern India, its development was influenced by both Hindu and Muslim cultures. The lyrical and poetic movements are used for storytelling.
These free, fun and accessible sessions will give you an introduction to some of the key techniques involved in Kathak dance. You will learn footwork, hand movements and spins.
Please wear/bring comfortable clothes and footwear.
