International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 2024

Join us to mark the day with a conversation between Alia Alzougbi and Patrick Vernon about systemic inequalities, creating holistic community and the challenges and opportunities ahead of us. Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz will introduce the event and we will open with Iftaar for those breaking their fast for Ramadan. All are welcome to join.

Patrick Vernon has over twenty years’ senior experience working across mental health, public health, heritage and race equality and is well known in health, local government and the voluntary sector.

Alia Alzougbi is cultural strategist, artist and facilitator. Her practice uses the arts to interrogate the fundamental causes of inequality and explore alternative modes of understanding the world and being in it.

Refreshments will be provided by Mouna’s Kitchen.
