Film Premiere - The Bluebox in Newham: Home of Champions
Fight for Peace is a youth organisation based in North Woolwich, Newham. The charity provides free boxing and martial arts as well as a range of other services (including mentoring and employability support) to help young people reach their full potential.
The Fight for Peace Academy in North Woolwich opened in 2007 after originating in the favelas of Rio in 2000 – named Luta pela Paz. Founder, Luke Downdey MBE believed that by combining boxing and martial arts with personal development it would provide a strong foundation for young people to thrive in their lives both inside and outside of the gym.
