Festival of Light
Join us for an unforgettable event in Royal Albert Wharf, as we celebrate the Festival of Light! Experience views of the riverside illuminated by a dazzling light display, and honour the magic of Diwali as we bring the E16 community together.
Taking place on Saturday 26th October between 1pm and 6pm, guests will have the opportunity to celebrate the launch of the new show home at Royal Albert Wharf, and mark Diwali in style. Come down and meet your neighbours, discover the beauty of riverside living, and enjoy a festive atmosphere.
Throughout the day, seasonal activities will be available for all to enjoy. Enjoy dynamic dance classes as you discover Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form. And, what better way to celebrate the Festival of Light than by creating your own lanterns? Local studio Bow Arts will be hosting a lantern-making workshop, allowing guests to experiment with designs and add a personalised touch to their own Diwali celebrations.
Don’t miss the incredible twilight light display which will transform the area into a Diwali wonderland. Reflecting the joyous essence of the annual festival, the docks will be adorned with different sources of light, from projections and flames to floating lanterns in the surrounding water, casting a warm glow over the development and providing guests with the perfect Instagram-worthy backdrop!
