Transport for London looking for new partner to sponsor London Cable Car
Transport for London's sponsorship arrangement for what is currently called the Emirates Air Line expires in June 2022. They are now inviting organisations to bid for the rights to sponsor the UK's only urban cable car and make it an even bigger star on the London stage. The deadline for submissions is 18 February 2022. The new deal will be for a minimum of three years.
The cable car is in the heart of one of London’s richest destination zones, linking two world-famous venues – ExCeL London and The O2. This thriving hub has landmark business zones including the Royal Docks which is London's only Enterprise Zone, ExCeL London, Ravensbourne College and the new Design District. It is surrounded by a cluster of bustling food markets, cafés and restaurants, creating a vibrant atmosphere and making it a popular leisure destination.
The new quarter will be completed in 2022 by the Elizabeth line at Custom House and the arrival of London’s political HQ as the Mayor’s Office relocates here, continuing to drive the regeneration of the Peninsula.
