Silvertown Studios expands with a second cutting edge location in the Royal Docks: a hub for next generation film and TV production
Silvertown Studios is a premier destination for virtual production, offering state-of-the-art facilities to the entertainment industry. After the success of their first location, "Riverside" in the Royal Docks, Silvertown Studios has introduced its second site, "St Marks," representing a significant expansion in response to client demand and the evolving needs of the film and TV industry.
Directors and Co-founders Ian Vine, Kam Bains and Jas Sapal chose the Royal Docks for their production studios after relocating from south London. Their decision was based the advantages of more affordable workspace and easy access to West London via the Elizabeth Line. Their choice of location was also influenced by the eastward shift of the industry, highlighted by the upcoming opening of Dagenham Studios in nearby Barking and Dagenham, poised to be the largest film studio in London.

Merging a unique industrial aesthetic with state-of-the-art amenities, Silvertown Studio’s new 3,700 sq ft facility, showcases the latest in advanced LED technology. Their revolutionary LED 'virtual wall' supersedes traditional 'green screen' technology, enabling live real-time editing and minimising reshoots. This came ‘into its own’ during the pandemic when location shoots were restricted, and it continues to be a growth technology.
Since its opening, the studio has already served a prestigious roster of clients for fashion shoots, music video productions, sports commercials, and more.
