Royal Docks Originals: open calls for artists and performers

In partnership with Hive Curates, we have two live open calls for artists and live performers to submit proposals to have their pieces shown as part of the Royal Docks Originals festival in September.

New artist commissions up to £5,000: https://royaldocks.london/articles/royal-docks-originals-public-art-series-artist-commission-opportunities

The deadline for both applications is: 3 June (midnight).

Royal Docks Originals (RDO) is a new biennial festival celebrating the culture, heritage, and people of Newham and the Royal Docks. Launching on 15 September 2025, the festival will feature world-class arts, new installations, and performances across the area’s unique land and waterscape.

As part of the festival, the Royal Docks Team and Hive Curates are offering several commissions for both large-scale artworks in public spaces, as well smaller commissions for live performances. We are seeking proposals that bring the Royal Docks’ identity, stories, and communities to life.
