DPK have submitted a planning application to deliver new student beds and educational uses for the completed first Phase of Royal Albert Dock. The proposal will provide:

• An educational campus, inspiring learning, creativity and innovation.
• 628 high-quality student beds, including 220 affordable rooms, to help local students attend university at lower costs.
• More active public spaces with new planting and seating across the riverside and wider area.
• Ground floor spaces that will provide retail amenities.

A statutory consultation process has begun, whereby the London Borough of Newham are inviting views on the proposals. The planning application (number 24/00440/FUL) can be viewed on the council’s planning portal, here.
