At the Docks 2024: The Royal Docks summer season of arts, culture and events
Last year we launched our new summer season, At the Docks, which reflected the area’s potential to inspire creativity, sustainability and community.
Bringing together over 70 events, 360 activities and 30 partners, we promoted a collective offer of world-class arts, culture and events taking place across the Royal Docks to visitors and locals alike.
Sustainability took centre stage last year with Sea Change, a collaboration between artists and academics, kick-starting the season exploring themes such as habitats and energy equity. While the Greenhouse Theatre, the UK’s first zero-waste theatre venue, welcomed visitors to its pop-up residency in Thames Barrier Park, offering performances, talks and workshops. New cultural venues, The Beams and Silverworks Island, showcased innovative exhibitions and live music performances and families enjoyed free activities including the Royal Docks Summer Splash. Our unique watersports facilities once again proved popular, offering spectacular views in a unique urban setting with everything from open-water swimming and inner-city wakeboarding to rowing, sailing and kayaking on offer.
At the Docks is now back for 2024! From the wheel-to-wheel racing action of the 2024 Hankook London E-Prix and your last chance to see Disney100: The Exhibition at ExCeL London to Euro 2024 celebrations and the return of the Pride Swim to Royal Victoria Dock, we have a jampacked season of events which we can’t wait to share with you all alongside our regular outdoor activities. The season is shaping up nicely but we’re always on the lookout for new additions to our programme.
If you are planning an event in the Royal Docks between June and September that you think fits the bill and would like it to be considered as part of this year’s At the Docks programme, then please use our submission form to tell us all about it!
