  • The opportunity

    Your expertise in regeneration, development, or property will help us manage public land and property assets to benefit London’s communities. Overseeing a range of high-profile strategic land and development projects, you’ll also provide specialist technical development support and advice to the Royal Docks Team. From procurement to disposal strategy, development viability to town planning, you’ll ensure we deliver both affordable homes and economic development, and make the Royal Docks a great place to live, work, and visit. We’re also working on area-wide strategies for public realm, energy, and digital connectivity, and you will lead on the shaping of those plans for the benefit of the area.

    The person

    You’ll have significant experience of regeneration or development, including the management of large projects from initiation to completion. This requires a sound grasp of technical issues such as procurement, design, project finance, and planning. Experience of structuring development agreements and joint ventures in the development sector is vital. You’ll also need to understand the principles of placemaking. Adept at building effective working relationships, you’ll have exceptional influencing and negotiating skills.

  • The opportunity

    Use your background in development to manage relationships with public landowners, stakeholders, and the local community, and provide specialist support and advice to the Royal Docks Team. Specifically, you’ll oversee land, development, and/or strategy projects. This will include appraising project proposals to ensure they meet our delivery plan and objectives for new homes, economic development, and regeneration. You will also provide regular reporting on projects, including outputs, budgets, and risks, and make recommendations to assist with key decisions.

    The person

    With a background in the property sector, you’ll have experience of leading and developing complex development projects. This will include a sound grasp of technical issues such as procurement, design, project finance, and planning. Experience of structuring development agreements and joint ventures in the development sector is vital. Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the principles of placemaking are also essential. Adept at building effective working relationships, you’ll have strong influencing and negotiating skills.

You’ll assist with managing a range of projects that support our delivery plan and the Mayor of London and Mayor of Newham’s objectives for new homes, economic development, and regeneration. You will assist with the appraisal of project proposals, and provide regular reporting on projects, including outputs, budgets, and risks.

    The person

    With a background in the property sector, you’ll have experience of working on development projects, including appraisal, planning, and project finance. Experience of contract management in the property sector is vital and you should have good knowledge of London housing and regeneration issues. An understanding of the principles of placemaking is essential. Strong communication skills and a negotiating abilities will also be key to your continued development.
